Cary Group acquires Denmark’s largest auto bodyshop centre

Ryds Bilglas Denmark AS, part of Cary Group acquires Crashpoint. Now more workshops are to be accessed in the Nordic region.

Ryds Bilglas Denmark AS, part of Cary Group, has bought 80 percent of the Danish ”body darlings”, Crashpoint with three workshops in East Jutland. The strategy is to extend Crashpoint to the rest of Denmark and the other Cary Group countries. “We’re very happy. This is the right strategy and the right timing. We are now getting some completely different muscles to spread the Crashpoint concept”, says the part-owners, Claus Nielsen and Frank Madsen.

They both continue in the new ownership. So does the 30 employees, primarily body technicians and paintworkers, divided into the three workshops: the main workshop in Aarhus Nord from 2009, the 2nd in Viby J, which was added in 2013, and the 3rd in Vejle at My Garage, which was established in 2019.

Kenneth Waagenes, Managing Director Ryds Bilglas Denmark AS, is also excited about the acquisition: “As a partner, we look forward to further developing the Crashpoint concept and what customers demand and expect, to other places in Denmark and abroad”, says Kenneth Waagenes, who has been in charge of Ryds Bilglas in Denmark for three years. Two years ago, Ryds Bilglas bought DanGlas and now has 14 workshops in Denmark.

Crashpoint is Denmark’s largest body shop center, specialized in repairing damage and auto repair, among those Tesla, which was and continues to be a highly advanced car that requires great knowledge from the technician.

In December 2020, Ryds Bilglas Group changed its name to Cary Group – as part of the company’s continued journey, and it was created from the combination Car+Ry(ds) (=Car care by Ryds). “Cary honors our heritage and represents our customer focus and sustainable business model based on the goal of repairing rather than replacing. We plan to strengthen our offerings and deliver services that support the lifetime, value and safety of motorized vehicles. Simply ”because we care”, says Kenneth Waagenes.
